Pilipino Christmas Festival 2013

Join the Pilipino American Coalition & Kappa Psi Epsilon as we celebrate our 17th annual Pilipino Christmas Festival “Pasko Sa Aming Bayan” at our home at California State University Long Beach on Saturday December 7, 2013!

Pilipino Christmas Fest 2013 will be a non-profit event in which all of our proceeds will go to the Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda relief in the Philippines.

It is a Filipino tradition to welcome the holiday season in celebration, and so we invite you all, the community and others to our campus to celebrate the holidays with us.

Entertainment features local singers and musicians including Filharmonics, April Nhem, dance teams including Mini Shock LA, SPAM, and PAC Modern, and a showcase of a few of our traditional Filipino folk dances performed by PAC Cultural.

It is fun-filled family event! Children can come to our Kid’s Korner where they can meet Santa and write letters to him and also make holiday arts and crafts all day. We also have One Nation and other affiliated organizations hosting several various activities. On top of that we have vendors, an art exhibit with artists selling their work, and what would a festival be without food?! Yes, the Lime Truck will there all day to meet your stomach’s needs!

We are doing this for the community. For our families, for our children, for you. Most importantly, although we grieve for the souls lost during this typhoon as well as for the people of the Philippines, we know all our organizations and partners, and with your help, can do so much and provide relief and support for the Philippines. In celebrating the holidays we can also celebrate the perseverance and strength of our people through these tough times.

We would love for you to join us for this wonderful event!

One Nation Typhoon Haiyan Benefit Show

On Friday, November 8th, 2013, Typhoon Yolanda made landfall around 6 am in the Philippines, their time. Winds of greater than 200 mph were leaving a path of destruction as the typhoon affected through the country. Leaving thousands without homes, without loved ones, and with no place to return to call “home,” Typhoon Yolanda has left its devastating mark on the country of the Philippines.

Come join the organizations of One Nation: CSULB PAC, PAC Modern, Zeta Phi Rho, Kappa Psi Epsilon, and Chi Delta Theta as we put on a Benefit Show to help the Typhoon Haiyan Relief efforts in the Philippines.

Entrance fee is $5 at the door, and doors open at 6:30PM. The show will start at 7PM sharp.

Along with performances, we will be selling raffle tickets for $1. Don’t miss out on a chance to win some awesome prizes that several campus orgs have donated!

Several orgs will also be selling items such as Filipino Parols, baked goods, and hand-knitted beanies with the proceeds all going to typhoon relief.

Donations will also be accepted.

Whether you come out for the show, to donate, or just to show face, any form of support is much appreciated.

If you have any questions you can contact PAC President Matthew Downeyat 916-752-4716.

Hope to see you all there! Maraming salamat!

My ate used to tell stories to me and my kuya about the old days in PAC, a time of peace when the President kept balance between South Fam, East Fam, West Fam, and North Fam. But that all changed when the NorthWest alliance was formed….
